Bio
I have loved video games since I first played pong back in 1975. I am 47 years old. I am at a point my life where I can learn things that I want to learn rather than just what will pay the bills. I love Electrical Engineering and do that still as my day time gig. I recently started a Web Development Company on the side to provide services to non technical people and the the elderly ect.. I am delighted to have a engine like Torque it is so accessible and affordable and has great documentation. Things like torque 3D did not exist when I was younger, at least not for common folk like me. I made my first text based games on the school vax system in Jr high and my first video games on a Radio Shack TRS 80. I did Ansi C programming via National Instruments Lab Windows CVI IDE and Electronic circuit design for my job for about 8 years for end of line automotive product and home appliance testing. I always wanted to apply that stuff to games and now the good Lord has giving me a chance to. I decided to purchase Torque because of the great community and it is such a cool tool. Being that I am 47 years old and catching back up on the latest things that I missed over the years does not seem to hold me back in this community. I'm glad to be here and hope to contribute to this industry and this community in any way I can. I am not here for profit but for the love of games and the likes of.
Thanks for reading my profile. I used my Web Company for as the name of my studio because it seemed appropriate. One day this will be a real game studio, I hope(-:
I also play Rock Guitar. I love Prince and Lynnard Skinner, and Kid Rock. Can you tell I'm a Detroit-er? LOL I have a music studio and hope to make use of that skill on the game side as well.
Some of my children participate in my Web Business.
I did electrical Engineering in Hungary and speak very good Hungarian. Draga means Darling in Hungarian.
I earned a BS Electrical Engineering ages ago after turning down a Graduate fellowship in Eastern Michigan University Masters Program.
I recently studied Digital Media at IADT Detroit Campus
I will be attending Westwood Universities Online Game Programming College part time starting in March 2012
