Where do I put the "Max2dtsexporter.dle" file??

Okay I'm trying to get the DTS exporter to work in 3DS Max 2010. I got it from this page:

http://www.filestube.com/748bb98822e971ae03e9,g/Max2dtsExporter-2009.html

I pasted the single "Max2dtsexporter.dle" file into the "stdplugs" folder of 3DS Max because that's where all the other dle files were. It said that the file failed to initialize when I tried to start 3DS Max.

I am aware that sometimes old versions of plugins work on newer versions of programs. Is this still the case, or am I trying something that just isn't going to work? If not, does someone know where this file needs to be placed?

Thank you

Katie H,
I am compiling a newer version of the 2010 exporter and I should be releasing it in a few days. As for the location, you are correct "stdplugs". Follow the conversation here: www.garagegames.com/community/forums/viewthread/91163/2#

I put mine in the plugins folder, works the same as stdplugs, but less cluttered :)

The link Britt gave you will work until ed finishes his 'enhanced' version,
which btw, every single 3D torque artist should be thankful for...
No need for unmess.exe, increased Collision meshes and more.
