Hi, i am using the dark industries exporter plus for max 9 (32 bits):

but when start max, i found this error:

"DLL <...max2dtsExporterPlus.dle> failed to initialize. Error code: 127 - cant found process."

Someone know how to fix? or an updated dark i. exporter?

Are you using Max 9 and if so, 32 or 64 bit (I don't think any dts exporters
support 64bit)

Javier, what version of Max are you using ? 6,7,8,9,2009,2010 ?

max2dtsExporterPlus for Max9 will ONLY work for 3DsMax version 9

If you are using 3DsMax 9, maybe the plugin is corrupt.

If you intend to export Characters from Max, you may want to use the
original exporter.

If you are using 3DsMax 2010, try the plugin found in this thread:

EDIT: Actually that thread you linked to is for Max 7 & 8, and will NOT
work on any other version. I don't think there is a plugin for version 9
You should use the normal version, you can get from the first link in this
post (artists section)

@Javier: The Dark Industries 3DS Max exporter has not been updated to work with 3DS Max 9 or higher. As Hewster noted it was built for version 7 & 8 of Max.

We actually did do a build for Max 9 32bit, but I only gave it out to handfull of users. I will see if I can find that version in one of my backups.

Worst case I can make the source available so that someone else can recompile it for newer versions of 3DS Max. I haven't had access to the newer versions of the 3DS Max SDK so we have been unable to update the exporter.

@Matt, out of interest, does the pro exporter support using multires to
create automatic lods ?
It's just I have never successfully used your pro version to export my
characters ?

BTW, I have made a pro compile (from the TGE 1.5.2 code) for 2010, it seems to
work successfully except for said multires exports.

Cheers,

Hewster
