I just got Super C in the Mail and it is a sequel I known that.
I'm just forever in awe of the simplicity of the NES Contras and How they are timeless.

recently, i played Contra 4 on the DS, and THATS how a remake or sequel should be... HARD to the bone, and fun like no other.

I still have yet to play the Arcade Version of Contra, which I heard is even more of a pain.
Contra isn't what I want to become, and it's something I don't know if I can surpass.
But for Reference Purposes I play that game everytime I need to remind myself what this is all for.

There is a Youtube series where an older guy who played the "back in the day" games let's his nephew (or something) play through older titles and give a modern day review. So far, he has covered Contra and Battletoads. His opinion of Contra was reduced due to how "hard" the game was.
Guess today's gamers are spoiled by health/armor regen and "respawn chambers."
