Is anyone using ModTool 7.5 and if you are, do you have the ability to save what XSI calls model files (*.emdl)?
It is greyed out on my install.

@Jaimi: To export a COLLADA file from ModTool make sure that you have the latest build of the Crosswalk Exporter and then go: File->Crosswalk->Export...
On the Crosswalk Exporter dialog under the "Crosswalk File Type" section set the file type to COLLADA 1.4.1. The settings and animation tabs have additional settings that can be used to configure the exported COLLADA data. Garage Games has a video tutorial of exporting a COLLADA file from ModTool on their Vimeo account.

Hi Matt - I just installed 7.5, and Crosswalk 3.3. The menu under Crosswalk has only two items: "Export fbx..." and "Import fbx...". I have XP 64 bit, so perhaps there is some incompatibility going on. :(

The Crosswalk menu should list 6 options: Import.. Export.. Export to Max.. Export to Maya.. Import FBX.. Export FBX..
File->Crosswalk->Export.. is the option that you want. If these options are missing you might be able to post on the ModTool forums on Autodesk Area for help.

I am pretty sure that Modtool 7.5 is 32-bit only so make sure that you install the 32-bit version of Crosswalk or you could run into problems. The Crosswalk menu should list 6 options: Import.. Export.. Export to Max.. Export to Maya.. Import FBX.. Export FBX..

Collada export worked for me when using the crosswalk version 3.3. I have 32-bit Vista.
