has anyone got this to work with T3D?
is there a plan for a ready to go T3D version?

Atm it is impossible to port the rpg kit to T3D because it is based off off the ArcaneFX kit and there is no T3D version of that kit yet. Jeff Faust is working ion it but until he releases it there won;t be a port. Having said that ... you can port the non afx specific portions of the rpg kit to T3D rather easily.

would you consider decoupling the purchase from Faust for persons in my situation? I'd really like to use the non-Faust specific portions in a T3d project.

Sorry but at this time there are no plans to do this. I just don't think the demand is there to justify the time it would take.

np, thanks. it's still a reasonable price to buy it with Faust even just to reference the scripts etc.
If you putout a ready-to-go T3D I will definitely pay for that

I have made some progress with porting the kit to T3D but of course it won't have AFX. So far, I have got the inventory working with the character screen working. But there is still good amount of work to be done.

Hi, now that there is AFX2 for T3D, it may be possible to think to a T3D version ???

It could be good for my project....
Thank you

a version of this is being planned for T3D which will not have AFX included but its own simple spell system. At the moment i cannot release any more details as they are still being worked out.

@Timothy, respectfully, you are wrong. If even one existing owner wanted it converted you should do it. Keeping your products up to date with the current engine is a way to garner further sales. There are packs missing that I would buy in a second, because of what they do for the engine. This is one of my major pet peaves with the developers that sell items here at GG. The complete and utter lack of updates for some of the packages. Considering how long it took me to port this, a complete novice as far is the T3D engine is concerned, it should take you guys no time. I have spent roughly 8 Hours to port two versions, one without AFX for insertion into T3D 1.0 and just a plain old conversion to AFX 2.0 for T3D.

I am almost done with the T3D 1.0 conversion of this pack and have plans on releasing it to users who can prove they own the original and all the requirements (T3D port may require T3D license?). I was also going to send this over to GarageGames to see if they could update the existing download with the changes so that current owners can get this via the My Products page. The last thing I need to do is give a mouse to the user in the non-AFX version and some minor bug tweaks. The only change I have made is to actually remove the advanced camera resource, as I believe the AFX camera system to be better suited for the game play. It was incredible difficult to move the player and I disliked the camera angles that it provided.

time is not the only issue as i'm sure i could do it fairly quickly but i also do not own t3d.

however there is a plan for a new ISK starter kit for T3D that will include lots of changes and upgrades. though i do not have a time frame on this yet since i'm still working out the details of what will go into it.

I will be making a blog post when i have everything worked out.

Timothy, I finished the conversion last night for T3D. I am only having one small issue now related to the inventory for the AFX conversion. Once this is done, would you mind a community update to the genre kit so that current owners can get an updated version?

i have no control over this. all i can do is pass the files to garage games, though since i do not have a license for t3d i cannot take the code from you.

Keep this posted, cause if the 3d RPG kit comes to T3D I'll bowl over the edge and get it and AFX

Timothy, no problem. I am just trying to make to make sure only license holders get a copy. That way I am within my licensing :)
