[B4/B5bug] Henry Ford's CloudLayer

by Steve Acaster · in Torque 3D Professional · 07/18/2009 (9:01 am) · 6 replies

Henry Ford's CloudLayer.
Available in any colour you like ... as long as it's black.
apparently Henry Ford never actually said that
GPU=7900GS

I didn't see it mentioned in known issues.

Appears to affect some Nvidia cards.

Moved to Beta5 forums.

Nice, you really worked that one in.

Is this in BL/AL? Is this the FPS Genre Kit or your own project? Is this a CloudLayer that was already created in your mis file prior to installing Beta4? If you delete and recreate a new one how does it look?

This is in both AL and BL, on a NewProject (though check out the beta4 Warrior camp pic, it's the same issue). New B4 cloudLayer, nothing ported. Deleting and creating new ones shows no change, cloud colour isn't working. Just tested FPSkit and it has the same issue.

Ugh... since CloudLayer changed very little I suspect it is a problem originating elsewhere such as the lighting or material system. Unfortunately I am not very keen on those. Will have to investigate.

Oh, could you possibly send my your email address?

Sent, you're in my address book from before, earlier I nearly sent you joke about the amish and porsche by mistake - must sort out my gmail contacts into something more ordered.

hmmm, after a bit more investigating, it just looks like the CloudLayer object isn't getting lit or affected by the sun. Hence black clouds.
