hi i am just wondering if the 3D Torque engine will give the need for big companies. like unreal engine 3 would be fore big companies that make FPS games. Could this engine be the game or even better then Unreal engine 3 if you had professional team knowing what they are doing? And also for selling a game nation wide with Torque engine, can it be done? So does this engine help commercial companies or more of independent companies?

Torque can and has been used by large companies. In fact, the Torque Networking Library was used in EA's Godfather II game. And you only need look at the games made with Torque to determine that Torque can produce professional, high quality games such as the Penny Arcade Adventure series.

Of course, GarageGames was founded with the idea that game development should be accessible to everyone, not just AAA studios with million dollar budgets, which is why our price point is so affordable. Therefore, we are happy to support small companies such as Tilted Mill or even 2-man teams like Stickman Studios.

If your talking about capabilities then the answer is yes. But the question isn't whether Torque can make a professional; high quality game.. the question is can you. How you use those capabilities will determine everything. Those companies that utilize Unreal engine use it as a base and form it to their needs. So even in their cases.. It's the team more than anything.

Good Luck.
