emaps and milkshape?

I'm trying to have an emap on one my firearms but I seem to be able to only get it to emap the whole part of the weapon which uses that texture, I have an alpha Channel in the model but it just makes that bit look grayer. How can i get it to just empa the Alpha Channel part?
Also how hard would it be to get it to reflect everything so it would be like a mirror?
Thanks!

But I ahve a problem the sky etc in the emap doesn't move with me, only if the model moves in say an animation. Does anyone know away around this? or shouldn't this happen?
Thanks

I'm got it to work by making the AlphaChannel basicly a negitive of what I would usually do.But I ahve a problem the sky etc in the emap doesn't move with me, only if the model moves in say an animation. Does anyone know away around this? or shouldn't this happen?
Thanks

If you hadn't set this slider on export, then you wouldn't get an emap under normal circumstances. Try re-exporting the mesh with the slider set the other way and see if it works. This has been my experience at least.

You shouldn't have to invert the alpha channel to get reflective surfaces. One of the sliders in MilkShape materials (Emmissive I think? Lowest slider on the left) controls the emap as an on/ off function (i.e. all one way or the other.)If you hadn't set this slider on export, then you wouldn't get an emap under normal circumstances. or did you mean emap?
and I'll muck around more with milkshape thanks!
Is there a way so the emap moves as I move not just when its in an animation of the model(its a weapon)?
