how to interact with different scenegraphs...

Hello.
i think this has been asked a few times before, but since im not sure, im asking it anyways.
see, i have the regular scenegraph with the default window (SceneWindow2D), and i use the regular MainScreenGUI.gui file for certain onscreen items and stuff, and whenever i need a more "lively" menu or something, i create a new scenegraph and window, put what i need there and everything goes fine.
when i'm done with that, i just set that scenegraph invisible, and i can return to use the regular scenegraph with no problems.
now, my question here is, how can i interact with the regular scenegraph, while having another active scengraph?, like say, instead of using the mainScreen.gui file, i use regular t2d files to create more animated GUIs?.
i ask this, because i really have NO IDEA of how to do that, and in my last project, i wasnt really happy the way the static GUI looked. so in my next project i want it to be more alive, and only thing i can come up with is doing it this way, but i dont know how to have the player interacting with the regular (default) scene, while having another one active!...
help?
