by Tom Spilman · in Torque 3D Beginner · 05/30/2009 (1:20 am) · 823 replies

I think it's about time we started a show off thread for cool Torque 3D stuff.

Screenshots are great... but a YouTube HD video gives you massive bonus points. :)

Ready... Set.... GO!

@ Alfio: That is a great looking city.

I'd love to see it filled up with people and cars. :)

Another part of my project to be added to the show.

This time is a hardware shader that computes the normal map on the fly. So no pre-calculated bitmap is required. The shader in question, compute the NormalMap using the diffuse texture, it also allows you to change the values of the bumpness in real time.

I'll throw my two cent into here.

Do note, only my second day using Torque 3D, but lots of fun.

Good attention to detail.

Is there any way to make it so the vapor trails on the wing tips only show up at certain times?

I had the same thought Doug posted - I expect you could do a bit of math with angle/velocity and turn the emitters on/off so you'd get realistic vapour trails.
