Torque 3D Beta 2 Bug, Terrain Alpha causes crash for size 4096 +

I have been trying to import my heightmap with textures that I created using L3DT, but the program terminates when I try to use the Alpha maps (sometimes evan selecting the alpha map file causes the crash).
When it crashes I just get a windows error saying the program terminated in an unexpected way.
I have no problem with just the heightmap (4096x4096) no material, but when I try with the alpha, it crashes.
I reduced the size of the files (both height and alpha) to 1024x1024, and even 2048x2048 and it imported without any problem.


My system is Vista 64, 4GB ram nvidia 9600GX2 card
