WaterPlane missing from Assets

by Ilidrake · in Torque 3D Professional · 05/24/2009 (3:01 pm) · 8 replies

Playing with T3D today and noticed WaterBlock is in the list of assets but WaterPlane is not. Was this intentional or did something happen to it?

Still works as well as it did before. By which I mean, it renders reflections of things that are outside the maximum view distance, which often means the underside of terrain.

Anyway, yeah, it seems to be gone from the environment list.

Nah, it's still there but you have to "scroll down" as it were ... but there is no vertical scroll bar, so you have to drag the pane down a little. Which is awkward.

And while we're on the subject of ergonomics and editor windows -- the bottom of the Materials Editor (Transparency and then Reflection mode) is unreachable in windowed mode until 1280x768. An overall vertical scroll bar would solve this.

Steve, your missing scroll bars?
Anyone else?
I have scroll bar...

May be something to make another bug report about.

Caylo, missing which scrollbar?
I have one on Material Editor but it only scrolls the different texture maps, animations and not all the way down to the bottom of the window/editor.
No vertical scrollbar on Object Editor --> Library tab.

Same here. I figured out about the waterplane error. A little awkward but it's there and works :)

There should be(when needed). I have scrollbar for everything under Scene Tree window, and 3 for Material Editor windows.

its because the windows are oversized (for smaller resolutions) and the
bottom of the windows (inspector etc) are out of view / off screen.

To fix, drag the offending window fully onto screen, resize, and place back :)
Would be nice if the auto fitted depending of resolution.

This is either a bug in GuiScrollCtrl or in GuiDynamicArrayCtrl. Someone is not calculating their extents or scroll-able area properly.
