Convert TGB to TX 2d

I read a little while back a blog from a guy who released a Xbox Live community game and he said he originally built the game with TGB then spent about a weekend converting it to TX 2d. So the question is, is this possible to do? And what all would be involved with converting a game from TGB to Tx 2d?
