System requirements

Hi guys. What are the intended minimum and average system requirements that you are shooting for in Torque 3D under Windows? Specifically, I'd like to get an idea of video card requirements for nVidia and ATI so I can do a bit of shopping next week... Memory, processor, and audio requirements would also be nice, just so I can begin to rebuild a development system for nominal average user and minimal user.
I understand that there will be optimization and the targets may shift a bit in the final product, especially with Windows 7 coming out, but I'd like to start with a generally approved configuration...

I am also working on a Samsung NC10 Netbook. This also has an Intel 950 and (underpowered) Atom processor running at 1.6 ghz
If you want to target integrated video boards or Netbooks with low power consumption processors, you'll need to make some good content decisions... and we do consider supporting these chipsets important and are working to make sure the engine is as compatible and runs well on them. That doesn't mean injecting magic into the silicon... so, again, very important to make sure your content is appropriate. We'll be releasing some more information specifically about lower-end hardware support soon.
I spec'd out a $1500 box that I built which runs Torque 3D (Beta 2) "Warrior Camp" at 80+ fps with Advanced Lighting and all the new goodies on... it would be easy to get Torque 3D running quite well on a $500 - $600 box minus some of the post fx... and if you were to switch to Basic Lighting (as an option), which is actually still pretty good... you would have to throw an awful lot of content around to have any framerate problems, well, ever :)
I hope this helps...
