New Marble Textures

by Eric Litton · in Marble Blast · 01/30/2003 (2:50 pm) · 16 replies

Hello,

I really like the rainbow colored marble in the game, however, since I cant make levels, currently, I decided to make some textures for the marble. :)
There are some basic patterns, and some more complex stuff.

http://www.volcano.net/~ericx/Mar_Ball_Textures.zip

To change the marble texture Open up the Marbles folder, then the data folder, then the shapes folder, then the balls folder and replace the "base.marble.png" file with one of the ones with similiar name in the zip.
On a Mac you need to control click the program, choose "show package contents" and then follow the instructions above.

:)

Please make a new topic next time rather than bumping a 4 year old topic..

But, open the image in preview and click the instant alpha button, make the alpha channel between 80% and 100%, I think full alpha is best (meaning solid, no transparency in game).
