Player model without helmet and backpack??

Would it be possible for someone to edit the player model for me without the helmet and backpack.. i know you can easily remove the backpack.. but portions of the helmet are baked into the model and not entirely removable.
Im not familiar with Milkshape 3D and you cant do much with the source art file in max, can anyone help me with this..?

If you need any clarification of this i'll get him to post in here on his account so no problems with that.
Also the person has both TGE and CSK, thought i'd clear that up as well.

There is a meshHiding resource involved with the Pack, so I'm not sure how far you could edit the avatar, without destroying the codeBase's working...as in 'dragNdrop'.
There is no "Max" Source file in the Pack; the Milkshape3D file is provided for this type of modification. You will need to learn Ms3d or find an artist capable of editing the Source file formats[welcome to computer graphix!!], if you want custom mesh on the avatar. Also, passing along a Source file to an unlicensed developer....ah, good idea??, not so much; lest you get an ironClad agreement not to redistribute the data from that person. When you input lots of time and effort, it's a punch in the gut to see someone else come along and say, "Look what I made.".....
Hmm...your account profile still shows no licensed products, normally you see the 'school's' account info.

...just curious......editing 'Source' art I helped to create and not seeing a license to do so...had me 'curious'. Ah...my mistake. I am confusing the MACK Pack by BrokeAssGames.com and the CSK Pack, which BrokeAss Games did the figure creation for the original Player Avatars, but was 'rejected' for release[it's now in the MACK Pack!!! So there, you be the judges on 'rejected'ness].... The MACK Pack has meshHiding...in it's Source Code, while CSK does not[me tinks]; so it should be very easy to edit the CSK player avatar to 'change' the helmet and backpack, although IIRC, that shape was very 'basic' in it's geometry, so I'm thinking you would need to recreate the 'head' and 'body'...parts of the figure.

School doesnt have an account on here, we use the demo version of TGE. I dont have TGE or CSK which is why it's not showing up. A few of us have personal accounts on this site, my friend bought TGE and CSK not long ago. He was the one asking he just didn't sign out of my account before he posted this. If you want i can still get him to post in here to show you the licenses. I'll tell him to look on here to so he'll know what to do :).

Your friend will have to download the updated kit from his account here, if the sources are there, they will be in MilkShape format. Milkshape is a low-budget, no-frills software tool, learning it should be rather easy for someone who has used any other modeling application -- even I could and I'm a code-monkey.
Rex is correct in that the CSK doesn't do any mesh-hiding, so it should be simple enough to just alter the source model to remove the backpack and alter the head so as to not have a helmet -- of course it would have to be re-skinned and exported to .dts also.

The source file for the player model wasn't initially included for the kit. It ended up being a separate download temporarily offered by Ashley Kelley. I believe that an updated version of the CSK was put up here at GG just a few weeks ago, but I never bothered to see if the source art was included in it. May I ask how you are running CSK, while your profile shows no TGE product as being licensed?
Just curious...? As my work on the CSK project, brings in revenue!
