What kinda sound are we talking?

Hey all,

Just wondering if the Ambient Sounds Collection that I have made here and the other packs I'm released will be able to work fine in Torque 3D or will I have to remake them for this new release? Anyone know what type of sound we're looking at? Standard ogg? I really haven't heard anyone talking about what it uses but I'm assuming (there's that word again!) that the formats will remain the same but the inner workings may be better then whats in TGEA. Anyone?

Thanks for the info...

There has been some improvements to SFX made my Rene Damm, but i don't know how much of it made it into beta 1.

It shouldn't be incompatible with any sound packs.

All current, and valid, wav's & ogg's that I've tried are working just fine. I've even added a sound file or two that I foley'd together with no problems.

Like Tom said, there's been a lot of SFX improvement by Rene Damm, just not totally sure how much of it is being used or if certain features are ready yet.

@ Tom and Michael: Thanks guys for that. I honestly haven't heard anything on it but figured it would still take my sound packs just fine. Always a first time thou if I didn't ask that it wouldn't have worked and then I'd have to redo everything. Sure is nice to know I wont have to redo the audio packs.
