Search Bug

Hi I dont know if this has been posted yet but when you search you can only search with the little white text box at the top of the website, after the results you cant search with the bigger search box that comes up. Don't know if its me or the website.

Tested this in Opera, and Safari, and Google Chrome. Same bug. :)

searching for "foobar" in the "search site" field at the top right of every page turns up a bunch of results and a "search terms" field with "foobar" pre-populated in it, but then clicking search yields no results.

Hey all, Just wanted to say good on ya GG for fixing the search bug! But another thing I realised, and I only realised this because im picky :P, after you search it says somthing like this:
Just wanted to point out that the name (HOUSSEN) and the "in" are not spaced :D

[UPDATE]Hey all, Just wanted to say good on ya GG for fixing the search bug! But another thing I realised, and I only realised this because im picky :P, after you search it says somthing like this:

It seems the Advanced Search is busted. Can't seem to find any results.

..there have been multiple threads about this. No reply from GG afaik.

It's been fixed? I tried to search for the word "bug" on the private t3d forum and it returned no results. Even if the search only looked at the titles and not into the main body of the post (which I hope it isn't restricted to) it should have returned quite a few hits.

..oh it is fixed. nice! Gerry, perhaps that issue is strictly related to the new forum for T3D.

I'm still having troubles with the search, is it fixed for everyone? I tried searching for "game" in the TGB private forums. SHOULD turn up at least one hit...

search is broken for me as well...if you click the 'basic search' then results show up however it isn't possible to search specific forums using basic search.

That's right. The Select areas to search feature doesn't work. If you deselect All Documents you can select any forum or any combination of them and no results will be returned.

Have to use the "All Documents" option like mentioned by Gerry to find anything...

Searching resources or forums isn't working, and that's pretty essential to find information on this site now that resources isn't put into neat different groups like they used to be.Have to use the "All Documents" option like mentioned by Gerry to find anything...

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. Searching the forums has always been a bit sketchy, but I can't even find keywords that I search for that exist in my own forum posts.

Put together a custom search with Google to be able to search the GG site, might be helpful to someone else as well.

Its still broken and this doesn't work either;

Forum and Resource search redirect to the site search currently. It's a bandaid fix for now until those two can be properly redone.
