- 1. Select Start pearl button > Control Panel > Personalization > Display Settings.

2. On the Resolution slide bar, slide the marker to the next lowest setting.
....For example, I moved my marker from the highest setting of 1440 by 900 pixels (highest--which I always use) to 1280 by 720 pixels (one level down from the highest).
3. Click Apply. Your screen resolution will change. (Every thing will most likely appear bigger than before.)
4. Click OK to close the Display Settings dialog box.
