Thanks

So would PSK pro be compatible with iTorue if I built a game with it in TGB and then ported it over?

If I want to develop a game on the iPhone using the PSK and I buy the pro version will I be able to use it in iTGB?

If I were to buy PSK and then wanted to develop for the iPhone, would I be able to upgrade my PSK to PSK Pro?

The upgrade price is the difference in price between the two versions.

Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm just now coming to see this - there's no upgrade price listed for the Platformer Kit vs. Platformer Kit Pro, they're both listed at $49.95.
Is there any more detailed information on the "13 source file additions, 4 new objects, and a number of tweaks to the stock engine code" or am I going to buy this on faith that these are things that I need?

I get 4 radio buttons for the PSK. Selecting "TGB Platformer Kit Pro (Indie)" updates the price to $100. If you already have the cheapest PSK, you might be seeing a delta price. I still see the full price for products I already have, so it would be the normal behaviour.

So what am I getting for that extra fifty? I don't know that I've seen any information on the Pro kit other than just a summary.

Ok, fair enough. So what am I getting for that extra fifty? I don't know that I've seen any information on the Pro kit other than just a summary.

Cristopher, you just get the source files behind the exe. Really, unless you know C++ or need to modify the way the player interacts with the world, then regular PSK would be fine!

Phil, Just cutting my teeth on tgb and downloaded the platformer starter kit. Phil, still unclear on difference vs. pro version. Does it require code changes to the engine same as nonpro? Also what is the migration path, timeframe to iphone development? Thanks in advance,Bob

There are a few people who have gotten the PSK working with iTGB. The process is pretty simple and doesn't take all that long. I'd like to get a solid port tutorial done shortly, but I've got a lot on my plate at the moment and it is something that I will have to get to later.

The pro version contains the source code for the new objects used in the PSK. The non-pro version provides precompiled binaries and no source files. There are a few people who have gotten the PSK working with iTGB. The process is pretty simple and doesn't take all that long. I currently own iTGE, but plan on exchanging to iTGB (due to iTGE being incomplete) but I was wanting to make a platformer on iPhone.
Is it 100% neccersary to own the Pro version if i am making for iPhone? And is there any news on the status of iPSK?
Also, if iPSK is going to be a while, would i be able to get help/instructions in the forums on how to do it myself?
thanks!

There's no such thing as a pre-compiled binary in general for iPhone development (except static libraries), and if the PSK has source modifications, you need that source for T2Di. Phillip said some encouraging things about iPhone status in another thread more recently. I'd get it if I had the money right now, just to encourage him :)

There is a build of the PSK which works on the iPhone now (though it is untested for the current iTGB iteration).

You must own PSK Pro to create an iPhone game using the PSK.There is a build of the PSK which works on the iPhone now (though it is untested for the current iTGB iteration).

Does either version of the platformer kit support full analogue gamepad support?

What is the upgrade price fom TGB Platformer Kit (Indie) to TGB Platformer Kit Pro (Indie), because I see 100$ and not the difference in price between the two versions.

@Stephan, it should be the difference between the two product prices. If you don't see $50 (approx, I don't recall the exact amount), then I suggest you email the site admin.
