Problem facing with lights

hi everyone,
Anybody can tell me when i exported from max into dts format.
after that when i create lights in torque engine no effects on
static mesh.
Whats the reason lights is not working on the mesh?
anybody can tell whats the problem?

But thing is that if i want light effect in the room in particular area.
how can create that effect in the room?

1. Make sure your light has DTS Objects enabled. To check this- go into the light editor under lighting tools. Then select the light your using and then just make sure the DTS Objects box is checked.
2. Make sure your DTS object itself is set up to receive light. To check this- select your object while in the world editor inspector(F3). Then scroll down on the right side to the lighting menu. there are little check boxes. Depending on your lighting and what type of ambient light you want on your mesh, select the corresponding boxes.(And set the custom ambient light if you want)
These are the only two reasons I know of why the mesh isn't receiving light. Hopefully this helps...
