This is a thoroughly pointless post! you were warned =)
I wish I could work on my torque stuff, but my PC melted down at XMAS and while most things are re-installed, I can't re-install MAX or VC and without it, can't work
Sorry =) I just had to whine about it, albeit briefly

Wow, you're right about Blender and Visual Studio Express.. good tips.. tho, to be honest, I'm pretty scared about trying to swap to Blender from MAX - I'm very good in MAX and very used to it.. but they are great suggestions! I will look into them
I know one of the guys who developed Blender, maybe he could give me a crash course..

I cannot uninstall the nonfunctional VC2008 nor can I reinstall it nor can I install anything after it.. It's in a state where I can neither backwards nor forwards =( that's my real problem.

Arrgggh.. the problem is that during Xmas my main PC melted down, and tho I was able to re-install most things, I did a "copy programs from old pc" feature within windows and it has left me in a half-install half-uninstalled stateI cannot uninstall the nonfunctional VC2008 nor can I reinstall it nor can I install anything after it.. It's in a state where I can neither backwards nor forwards =( that's my real problem.
