New Houdini section in the Artist Corner

Hello all, and welcome to the new Houdini section of the Artist Corner forums! Hope you enjoy sharing information here. If anyone sees any older threads they'd like to see here, please e-mail me at deborahm@garagegames.com, and I'll move it over!

Hi Deborah!

It's good to see a Houdini section, and hope to see information around here.

I can try to compile some things into a few useful articles/posts, and I'm also planning (hrm.. been planning for some time...) video tutorials on using Houdini with Torque.

I'm no pro, but I don't mind recording etc. the things I know and learn so that others might have an easier time with using Houdini with Torque.

(Maybe a blog would be interesting?)

Do you have any stats on how many people have gotten Houdini through GG?

That would be great to see either forum posts or blogs of some Houdini tutorials. Bring it on, man!

Concerning stats on Houdini: we generally do not give out sales numbers, since they are priority information of the people who own the product itself, in this case, Side Effects Software.

Well, you can increase the "UNOFFICIAL" sales count by 2.:) I have been considering making some simple tuts, but right now, just don;t have much time for 3D... But trying:)

BTW... Houdini 10 BETA is out today....Running now.

Yeah I got an offer from SideFX about trying the 10 Beta, I think I'm gonna give it a go :)

can i xport meshes (like houses, churches, interiors with portals, etc.) for my missions in torque with houdini, i was trying blender, but they got limits.
