Marble Blast Registration

We are currently experiencing some issues with Marble Blast registration. In the mean time please use the offline registration which can be found at www.garagegames.com/ignition
Here are the steps for offline registration:
1) Download and install Marble Blast
2) Run Marble Blast, at the Registration prompt it will list a 12 key code for offline registration ex: WZ6Y-KRAH-9RY2
3) Go to www.garagegames.com/ignition, enter the key from Marble Blast into the "Registration ID" field and the key from your account page into the "Ignition Key" field. This will prompt a download of an Ignition file
4) Place the Ignition file into the folder that Marble Blast installed to (default is C:Program FilesMarble Blast).
5) You should be able to run the game and play
UPDATE:Ignition should be fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience. I am going to leave this sticky up so that people are more aware of the Offline Registration option

Please note that you'll receive the error again (as well as a new Message of the Day which also gives an error) because GarageGames is now known as TorquePowered and Marble Blast (which had not been updated as should have been) still looks for GarageGames.
Unless TorquePowered does not mind, I will release updated ignition , registration and upsell gui.dso files that will direct to TorquePowered rather than GarageGames. However, making it into an installer will require TorquePowered to do so themselves, but they can use the updated files. I would have done it myself but that's something we have to talk about (TP and I) so if they wanna, I'm available :)

Strange. The ignition server should still be located under the GG domain.

I didn't test before posting (sorry for that, I didn't know the ignition would be hardcoded into the engine and GG domain still alive), but the following result in an error regardless:
ignitionGui.gui
ignitionStatusGui.gui
MOTDGui.gui
And finally, version.cs (client/scripts):
Also, could you please edit the first post, I thought the ignition key is 16 keys and not 12 (even MB requires 16, but displays 12 for some reason, so this also needs a fix).
Think you can help push through some fixes and create a new MB build? I'm willing to help with compiling the new source files (except exe, obviously). We can also upgrade Window's to 1.5 as well with a fixed Ramps Reloaded time of 25 secs (like on Mac) rather than the buggy 15 secs.

Well what do you know, it is :P Just tested and it still worked out.I didn't test before posting (sorry for that, I didn't know the ignition would be hardcoded into the engine and GG domain still alive), but the following result in an error regardless:
ignitionGui.gui
www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=my&mod=home&page=homeDoes not exist, obviously :) Points you to the homepage of TP.
ignitionStatusGui.gui
support@garagegames.comI'm pretty sure that won't exist anymore. Can't tell.
MOTDGui.gui
MOTD.get("www.garagegames.com:80", "/marbleblast/motd.html");This doesn't exist anymore, giving this error:Quote:<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">n<html><head>n<title>301 Moved Permanently</title>n</head><body>n<h1>Moved Permanently</h1>n<p>The document has moved <a href="http://www.torquepowered.com/marbleblast/motd.html">here</a>.</p>n</body></html>I also wonder whether there's anything in the page, since accessing it HTML wise (e.g. via FF) shows a blank page. Shouldn't.
And finally, version.cs (client/scripts):
Version.get("www.garagegames.com:80", "/marbleblast/version.html");Seems as while the ignition somehow works (hardcoded in engine) it will no longer check for latest update? I can't confirm that though, sorry. Also, could you please edit the first post, I thought the ignition key is 16 keys and not 12 (even MB requires 16, but displays 12 for some reason, so this also needs a fix).

The ignition server itself hasn't moved and should register anything using Ignition correctly. However, you're right about the other checks such as the version and mods.
The Ignition key is 16, but the Registration ID used on the offline registration page is 12.
I'll see what I can find among the dev team here. Since we're in the middle of a transition from Eugene to Vegas, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get any dev time.

The support address will resolve for quite a while--though with the number of questions I get, I sometimes wish it wouldn't! :)The ignition server itself hasn't moved and should register anything using Ignition correctly. However, you're right about the other checks such as the version and mods.

Just curious... we have a version of MBG that came with our iMac G5 and we just purchased the one off the site. It is supposed to give us a registration prompt but it does not. So it must be picking up the old OEM version's ID. Is that going to be a problem? And/or how can I reset it so that we register the official one?thanks!

Remove the original version and then install the new one that you purchased. Then you should be able to play the Gold levels.

Little bit late but you can fix that by renaming the folder "Marbleblast" in user/library. If you want the preferences and level times back you can copy-paste the file prefs.cs from the older library/marbleblast/marble/client to the new one it generates after you open the newer MBG.

Is the Ignition Key different to the Product key? Because I type in the Product Key, and it says it's invalid!
