TX PSK's installer crashes and rolls back

I just downloaded TXPSK and tried to install it, but got the following error during the installation: "There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.". Then the installation rolls back.

I have VS 2005 (with XNA 2.0) and VS 2008 (with XNA 3.0), running on Windows XP. I'm working normally on my games using TX, the only problem I have is with the PSK.

I saw in an old topic that installing VS Express could solve the problem. What version of VS Express I need to install exactly?

PS: I also filled a bug report on this.

You need C# Express 2005. I am not sure but someone in this forum has provided instructions on getting passed the bug. You may want to seach the forum.

Yeah, GG replied to me that the installer was made when VS C# Express was required.

After they pass through certification again there will be new installers...

Anyway, I'll search for the altenative solution, thanks Victor.

A new installer is definitely needed, rather than rolling with the previous installer and updating information and dependencies (or at least needing to remove the XNA 1.0 dependencies that are no longer applicable to XNA 2.0 and definitely not 3.0).
