got PD Particles? grab the free 1.2 update
by Philip Staiger · in General Discussion · 02/16/2009 (7:28 am) · 7 replies
PD Particles 1.2 adds support for a general plugin front end, so that new plugins can be released without the need for a new installer. It also organizes plugins by category: Filters, Brush related, in/out for import/export, and miscellaneous (such as the Penny paint tool)

Also included:
* Weave_pf.exe.... the weave pattern filter
* Mysticvision_pf.exe.... a basic version with hotspot in the middle
* Maxsharpen_pf.exe.... updated, now with interface & options
* Added export plugin:
* SetWallpaper_px.exe.... export current image to the Windows wallpaper
Happy waffling and painting!

Also, you should check the FAQ for more information on Windows 7 usage. For example, run it as administrator to get around some of the issues noted in the FAQ.

thanks David, I've already checked the thebest3d.com site, with no help, and a number of sites.

SO how do you get it to crash exactly? You launch PD Particles 1.2 (?), and after drawing a few things, you create a new empty image (File -> New) or do you load an existing image? If the latter, what dimensions is the image (width and height in pixels), and what file format is it? Targa, Jpeg, Png etc...)?

Hi guys, hm... no, I can't say that I'm aware of such a problem. I'll check though, my son has a win7/32 system (I think), or this other box right next to me (his old former PC) may be that version. Eitehr way I'll check, and I can also post a question on the dogwaffle forum at yahoogroups with many PD Particles users.SO how do you get it to crash exactly? Thanks for painting and waffling!

by the way I wanted to mention that PD Pro 6 has the same particle brushes and then some, including forcefields. We've added a bunch of tutorial videos on enabling forcefields for particles at the youtube channel... http://www.youtube.com/pdhowlerThanks for painting and waffling!

doesn't matter which option I select. don't even get option of layout size.
I've copied on to a 16Gb USB3 pendrive a complete install from one machince and ran it from the USb on that same machine with no issues. but on the tablet it produces the same error.
The Tablet is an Motion 900 series with an Intel Atom CPU. It runs photoshop elements, Torgue (not 3d though), full MS Office, and heaps of other things with no issue.
