Newbie help

Hi there

My son (8) just finished all levels of marble blast gold. It took him (and me) 3 1/2 years. We love the game and spend weeks on it. We really would like to build some own levels now. But how?

And second, where and how can I download levels form others?

Thanks a lot.

Noah

You do not need to beat all levels (or gold times) in order to unlock custom. To download custom levels, go to:

http://www.marbleblast.com/index.cgi?board=levelbuildingboard&action=display&thread=6074

Note that Marble Blast Platinum (a FREE community mod, which most prefer over MBG, but note that it's far harder than MBG) can be found at: www.philsempire.com

You can also download more levels (most are for MBP) at the website. Note that the language is classified for mature users (13+).

If you ever get MBP, I suggest you find more custom levels from my website as much of the newer levels released are designed specifically for this.

Thank you guys.

I know now how to download levels, but I have still no idea how to build my own. Do I have to download somthing first? Because when I click my custom level, it says "Not qualified". But that's not true. There is also no "custom" folder in my library or something that looks like I could use to build my own levels.

Thank you very much. I know you heard these questions a thousand times, but reading the forum just didn't help me.

prefs.cs sets you at qualify level of 1000. Raise it to 99999. Since you're a Mac user I can't really help to find it and what to change.
However, you can use either Constructor (Perishingflames will fill you up with more info way better than me) and the level editor. I made at the time a guide that explains just about all the basics anyone needs to know.
