sky sphere instead of sky cube?

Is there an option to use a sky sphere instead of a sky cube? I hate how the edges of the cube always give the warping affect when you rotate and thought a sphere would give a nicer affect? I found a few references on doing this from several years ago (pre TGEA) but I'm not sure they'd still apply to the current engine.
