Auran running a contest for indie talent

Though their engine is spendy for commercial use ($30,000), their non-commercial license is about $129. Why get the non-commercial license? Well, head over to Next Year's Game to check out the contest prizes.

(of course, the top three winners get a commercial license as a prize...)

Just thought that someone might be interested in trying to pick up a prize. I'm even considering it, though I don't know if I can realistically have anything stellar enough to be considered by June 2003 (I have my normal job that pays the bills, you know).

Just wanted to let people know...

Edit: removed extremely outdated link now because it's a pr0n site.

It's probably also worth mentioning they're giving away the non-commercial licenses for entrants as well. There's probably a fairly complex approval process though.

Yeah I've been Tracking Auran for a while now, since they are aussie's too. But I can say their engine seems to well documented and seems to up to scratch.

I actually was following Auran way back when they were working on a game based on "Harn" by Columbia Games. I'm a huge Harn RPG fan and they own the electronic rights to it. Unfortunately they canned the project about the time they announced Auran Jet and I haven't really checked in on it since...
