Checkpoints

I'm trying to create my own checkpoints, but it's really hard. Those irresponsible people just went on using the MBP ones without crediting them! Leading to nobody being allowed to do it.
I have a feeling GarageGames were going to put checkpoints in, but then decided not to. Anyway, all I want to know is what scripts I have to edit to create them! The rest I'll probably work out by myself. You don't even have to tell me what to do; just WHAT SCRIPTS?
(I know I need a DTS model! I know I need a sound!)

Where on earth did Spy47 learn C sharp? Or did he just study the code?

Does Spy47 care about his work, or the checkpoint belonging to MBP? It's acceptable if it's just his work he doesn't want copied; but if it's that he doesn't want any game created the checkpoint, then it's really unfair. The game 'Diner Dash' became a five star game that was the top game for a long time on many game sites. Then, about three years later, there were about 20 games similar to it! And if it's the checkpoint that he wants protected, . . . :K :K :K :K :K :K :K :K :K
Did not you say in another forum that people are copying files from MBP? Those are who I mean by 'irresponsible'. Sorry, it's probably not the right word.
Do you mean checkpoints were originally going to be made by GarageGames?
Anyway; I don't mind waiting until 2020 before I create Marble Blast Sapphire - I'm going P-E-R-S-E-R-V-E-R-E!!!!!!!

I was thinking about creating a MOD for Marble Blast three years ago. I even came up with the idea of checkpoints and teleporters even before I knew about MBP.Does Spy47 care about his work, or the checkpoint belonging to MBP? Anyway, Checkpoint for MBP (current coding for it) is Spy47's work 100%. Checkpoint for games had been done for like 10+ years now, it's popular and there're no copyrights over it. But the checkpoint he created, for MBP, is copyrighted to Spy47 and MBP. It's his work.
People who copied files from MBP copies from 1.02 versions and previous. 1.10+ is better and cannot be copied from :)
Checkpoints were originally going to be in MBG but they decided that it didn't fit the cartoonish style and feel they wanted for the game (and the levels were easy anyway) so they dumped the idea. Whatever remains is the code are some precursors as to what it was meant to be, but the problem is that it's too buggy to be used (and very incomplete), so we had to recreate from scratch the entire checkpoint system.

Anyway, I've come up with a way of making checkpoints purely with interiors.
You find MBG levels easy? Interesting; it offered more of a challenge for me. I think checkpoints in Tightrope, Natural Selection, Survival of the Fittest, Twisting the Night Away, and maybe some other GOLD levels too. Checkpoints should've been allowed anyway, for those custom levels that are next to impossible to complete.
Nevermind, I have no idea what mood I was in yesterday. I'm trying C++ for the very first time; but I'm having difficulty compiling it.

Yes, well, what I mean is, is it okay if other people put checkpoints in their own Marble Blast MODS, but they don't use the MBP scripts?Anyway, I've come up with a way of making checkpoints purely with interiors.

Go into the GUI editor, save the area in a location other than the UI folders and you get a gui file!

And by the way, I think I found out how to get the original GUI files.Go into the GUI editor, save the area in a location other than the UI folders and you get a gui file!

MBG levels being easy? Most of the community does. We had a huge discussion if to have checkpoints added to MBG levels but we've agreed it's best to keep MBG as-is and that the levels we
re easy enough. The only level that might need it is Tightrope but again, we all decided against checkpoints.
And GarageGames' didn't count on custom levels :P
With regards to GUI: We know that for the past few years. As said in the other topic, I won't tell you something crucial you're missing :P I'll let you find out.
Woot they have an edit button!!!

I don't believe we mind if others make their own checkpoint while they don't use MBP scripting.MBG levels being easy? Most of the community does. We had a huge discussion if to have checkpoints added to MBG levels but we've agreed it's best to keep MBG as-is and that the levels we

I'm guessing one of the things would be the understanding of GUI files. I'd also like to know how the MBG music system works. Like, does it play music at random, can you define what music you want played, is it limited to playing GroovePolice, Beach Party and Classic Vibe etc.

All .oggs though. Audacity.

Sort of, I can't tell what you're missing. Music System is sort of random, but you can select the music. You can put your own music too. MBP just put in more advanced controls to complete the music system (such as the jukebox and ability to specify which levels will play what music). You can have unlimited amount of music. All .oggs though. Audacity.

Secondly, MBP made its own checkpoints by adding a lot of code to make it work because the MBG one is incomplete and buggy. MBP also protects its coding (Spy47 does anyway, because its his work and code, so he doesn't want others to copy it). Also, if you can't figure out which scripts (game.cs for starters), don't bother making one. It took Spy several months to do it.
