Hey everyone. Help me spread the word that the GarageGames IRC Channel, hosted by Max Gaming, is still up and running.
IRC Server: irc.maxgaming.net
IRC Port: 6667
Channel: #GarageGames
The first IRC Hour of 2009 occurred today, and I'm pretty happy with the discussion. I'll be posting a new blog about documentation next week, and I will let everyone know when the next Official IRC Hour will be going on.
Between now and then, I'll be lurking in the channel when I can. My nick is mPerry. If I do not respond, I might be focused on work, but I will check in from time to time.

I'd say that IRC hour was a great discussion. It's way too quiet in IRC, I know there should be more people in there right now :-)

I asked a few of the MGT guys what the deal was...they didn't know what was wrong. Anyways, I have been in there for a month(or 2) without issue now.
..anomaly-like(anomalitic should be a word) really.

I had loads of trouble connecting to the server in the past...and then I would be randomly banned for a day. Then I could connect for a day only to be banned for a day again.I asked a few of the MGT guys what the deal was...they didn't know what was wrong. Strange, because me and about 20 other people are logged into IRC right now, definitely not a server problem.

Gibby there's a space between irc.maxgaming.net and :6667 - maybe that's the reason...

I had a hard time connecting too. But I haven't done IRC chat in years and have never used Chatzilla before. Hopefully I can figure it out. I've always wanted to hop in on one.

That's the error output of MICE iRC. The address was entered correctly.

Again, this is run by MG, not GG. There servers are rock solid. A bunch of us were in there yesterday.

Again, this is run by MG, not GG. There servers are rock solid. A bunch of us were in there yesterday.

btw sorry 'bout the vitriolic comment. I've had trouble with a number of GG issues for months, before the web debacle. I'm still trying to use TGEA, but it's a long haul...
