Critical Bug fixed (MBG crashes all the time)

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO GARAGEGAMES CHANGING THEIR SITE, MARBLE BLAST GOLD WILL ALWAYS CRASH WHEN YOU TRY TO EXIT IT AND YOUR PREFS.CS (AND TIMES) WILL BE LOST [copy from common/client/prefs.cs and the client/prefs.cs.dso files so that you won't lost them!].
I've set up a good fix directing Marble Blast to completely different places so that it will never check, or crash, again.
FIX TO STOP MBG FROM CRASHING AVAILABLE:
This is a temporary fix I've done thanks to my source files.
http://platinum.philsempire.com/platinum/MBG-FIX-Critical.zip
GO GRAB IT AND REPLACE THE MARBLE FOLDER. IT'LL REPLACE TWO CS.DSO FILES TO DIRECT TO PHILSEMPIRE INSTEAD. MotD will never be shown again as new one and Version probably won't be checked. This is critical you download and install it.
Files changed:
Version.cs.dso
MOTDGui.gui.dso
Do not delete the folder. When you're asked to overwrite, you must do so and those two files will be replaced.
This will be 100% REQUIRED if you have Marble Blast Gold PURCHASED FROM GARAGEGAMES AND YOU ARE ON WINDOWS. Don't know about RealArcade but I wouldn't risk MBG crashing, so do it anyway. This does not affect MAC/LINUX users.

I can get my file from TimeMachine. I am a bad person and haven't backed up in more than 14 days, but like I said, I haven't played MBG in a few months. So I will do that, but if anyone has any tips, other than get that file and make a copy, then copy that into the /common/client folder every time I go to launch the game, I'd love to hear it. Although really that's not ideal, because if I ever solve a level again in the future, I won't have that in a new file because the game crashes every time I exit. So I guess from now on I am on the honor system and will have to use cheats to get up to the levels that I am supposed to be playing. (unless there's a fix...)

When you say "This does not affect MAC/LINUX users." you are referring to your fix, right? Because I am on Mac (v. 10.5.6) and I logged in for the first time in a few months yesterday. I played a little, pretty poorly since I haven't played in a few months. Then I logged out, and got a crash message. Not thinking anything of it, I went to log in again tonight, and my data file appears to be gone, because there is no record of levels I have done in the past. And when I logged out, the game crashed again. I have searched the forums, and can't find anything that would explain this problem on a Mac.I can get my file from TimeMachine. This will also be fixed by the GG Web Team as they overlooked Marble Blast while redesigning their site.

Seems as if so you are also affected. You need the fix in my post. Just replace the files in both package and library directories for Marble Blast. This will also be fixed by the GG Web Team as they overlooked Marble Blast while redesigning their site.

Updating you to know that the crash had been fixed by the GG Web Team. Unfortunately, Ignition version registration gives an error and offline registration gives you an InvalidTicket error. It has been reported and the team is working to fix this.

If you are having difficulty, let my know at the support address and I'll try to get a new ignition key working for you.

Using the offline registration should allow you to register your version of MB correctly. If you are having difficulty, let my know at the support address and I'll try to get a new ignition key working for you.
