Hello all,
Welcome to the new site. We know there's a lot of new stuff to check out, and things are a bit different than they used to be (mostly for the better). Please post your thoughts on the website on this thread. We'll cull through them over the next few weeks and put it in the priority stack to fix in future iterations of the site.

Mixing all the art related posts together forces people to wade thur posts that have no meaning to them. Perhaps if there was someway to categorize posts so that users could choose to show only posts in a forum that are of a specific category.
That way when I go to the Artist Corner I can choose to see all the posts or only the ones related to DIF or DTS.
Of coarse, it may be just simpler to add more forum topics, just something else to consider

After looking through the Artist corner forums, I think having all of the artist posts in one forum is too general. It still might be worth having seperate forums for things like DTS Exporters.Mixing all the art related posts together forces people to wade thur posts that have no meaning to them. If I browse the forums to posts that I know I am watching but are not showing up on the forums home "My Watch List" I can see that the "Notify me of new replies" check box is checked but several of them are not showing up on the list.
It seems as though its capped at showing the first 10 posts on my watch list since there is no pager presently to alow me to see the other topics. Its either that or a bug. :-)

When I make a post or edit a post, it gives me an "Application error" message even though it went through.

After the 5day Rev. I have SOME of my watch links I don't think all are showing up.

My guess is that since I clicked the "remember me" check box on 01/13/2009 if the login cookie is never deleted and doesnt expire that in 3 months it would still say that my last login was still 01/13/2009 (11:41 pm).
Nothing major sure, but could give the community the wrong impression in the long run. Something else to add to the list.

Text in various places on the site have escape characters in front of ' and " in profile detail text (member names also?), words like I've and I'm (most contractions I would guess) have a \ in them that is getting displayed and probably shouldn't be.

Actually that was a bug of the old site. The backslashes got carried over to the new site, but the new site shouldn't be arbitrarily inserting new ones.

- Im sure you guys have plans to improve the little User section next to Each post. How about adding Thumbnails?
- Report Post (for Offensive behaviour, etc).
- Cancel Button when editing posts.
- Search Results should not display the link, rather show in which forums the results was found.
- Can you bring back Forum Subscriptions?
- And use forum subscriptions to only search in those forums Subscribed. (That was something on the old site that annoyed me too search results I couldn't use)
- I have access to the private forums (eg AFX)
You're doing a great job guys! The first batch of fixes makes a helluva difference already! Hang in there.

Now that is luckily working again the thread/blog suscription, just found a problem when trying to *un*suscribe from a thread.
It happens to be a thread closed by the admins, so, obviously not particulary interested on beeing suscribed to it (hehe). On the contrary, I want to remove it from my watched list... however, beeing closed by admins, the "Notify me of new replies" check is no more, hence I cannot unsuscribe from that thread.
Thats it, just a little, but annoying one :)

The one thing I've always felt was missing on GG forums was seeing who made the most recent post in a topic of forum (seems like this is now enabled on forums... just not individual topics). Makes it much easier to figure out which threads have been replied to since you last replied, without having to remember the number of replies :P.

Not only that I view this whole change as a negative. Its not a better site its a buggy worse one.
The old site really rocked. This is a big step backwards from what I can see.

All the stuff I have paid for are missing. All it says is that I have 1.4 torque when I paid for 1.5 and all the content packs over the years I have bought are all missing.Not only that I view this whole change as a negative. Its not a better site its a buggy worse one.

Another thing I would suggest along with my previous mention of highlighting posts, maybe one that highlights the ones we've written? This way, if you are scrolling through all the posts, you can find the one that you posted more easily.

I did a search for all blogs by ando and it still did not show up. I checked every one.
Does search not work for post 2009 entries?
Also we still need a way to refine searches, such as "Game + Art" not "Game and Art". It is an inefficient use of the forum as a resource not having it.

Just did a quick check with the new search. Doesn't seem to be working. I did a search for ando under author and couldn't find his current blog "New Fps?" which is still on the front page. No matter how specific I went it would not show up. Anyway, here I go:
The new profile page, do not show an email address anymore; added to that, there is the lack of a inner PM system: We are now effectively incommunicated, in terms of trying to contact an specific person.
There are still the forums, but of course are not designed for that, and is kind of a lottery.
