Is there way to snap brushes in constructor

Hi,
I read that we should not have brushes penetrating each other.
If we leave thin space between brushes it affects during lighting and shows a small opening.
Is there a way to snap faces so that brushes are aligned properly without penetrating each other.
Also please guide me on how to use snap to grid efficiently.
Thanks,
Saravanan M

Quote:I've been thinking about adding a function to make two faces fit together. Basically you would select them, and then select the "fit", and it would stick one of the faces to the other by moving one face.Actually, that would be very useful -- I would like. Would you be able to select which face got moved? I've been doing Planar Scale & shrink to 0 on the appropriate axis and it moves both faces, which sometimes adjusts geometry I don't want moved.

If I get time, I'll code it up this weekend. It actually shouldn't be too hard. I'll make the first one selected the anchor face, and move the second one.

That sounds like it would work just fine.

Sorry for the double post, but would this work to snap two edges of the brushes together? It seems kind of vague what Saravanan asked about. Would you be able to select four different verticies (two edges) and it snaps the two edges together? Thanks.

no, it wouldn't help with that. What it will do is take two faces, and make sure they are coplanar, so they fit snugly. (for example, making sure there is no space between two walls).

While I have you, can I ask you to please check out my thread for a few requests? Can you confirm any that you would be willing to do (if any) ?
Thanks.

(If your availability only allows you the opportunity to do one of these, my prime request would be the pie slices.)
