TGEA 1_8_0 Windows 7 Beta Status

OpenGL Renderer doesn't work. (Not supose to I guess?)
All demos crash unless right click/run administrator.

Windows 7 uses the same driver architecture as Vista so
all drivers "should" work.

FPS is horrible.
29 FPS standing in the default spot on T3D Demo.

Amd 64 X2 6000+
2GB RAM
Geforce 8800 GT 512MB RAM

While Torque supports OpenGL... Torque does not support OpenGL on any version of Windows.

I was hoping to install the Windows 7 beta soon myself. I figured there would be some sorts of issues with it and Torque... its not unexpected.

While I understand that OpenGL support in Windows is useless for end user (Direct3D is often better supported by drivers, specially outside the Nvidia/AMD axis), it sucks if you're creating resources which use custom shaders or modify the shaderGen and don't have a mac, since you'll be unable to provide OpenGL versions of the shaders/changes and a mac user will need to do the porting.

Have you confirmed that other openGL applications work fine? If not, you should be hitting up Nvidia first.

Oh and currently the Nvidia Windows 7 drivers have some bugs, random texture and rendering issues.

I have been working with developer builds of Windows 7 extensively for the last 3-4 months.

I haven't encountered any issues with TGEA 1.8 other then it just runs slower then its 1.7 and eariler brothers do. But this isn't just a Windows 7 issue it seems to be across the board type issue.

I haven't had to run the game as an administrator. Just a double click and boom it runs. This also goes for TGE and TGB. OpenGL will also work just fine under Windows 7 and its current drivers.

This is all tested on both a intergrated Geforce 6150SE and a Geforce 8600 GTS.

Have not did any testing with our ATI cards yet since our game is still in a fairly early stage of development.
