Writing on the wall

Hi, I'm just starting to use Constructor, is there any way to put text on my creations, if so how would I accomplish this. If I can't do it in constructor where do I make the text.

You could place decals containing your "writing on the wall", would be outside of Constructor, though if your texture didn't have transparent areas you could embed .dts billboards inside of Constructor. Apparatus showed off the use of .dts decals (placed with the world editor) real well in his Interor Guide Pack, which is free by the way.

Wow... I know this looks dumb, but I can't figure out how to use my shape in mission editor, what do I need to do to get the shape avaliable in the mission editor, at the moment I am just testing with the TGEA StrongHold Demo

Then load up your stronghold mission, hit F11 to get into the mission editor, then F4 to switch to the World Creator and the object should appear in your asset tree (which you'll need to drill down to your item).

You need to export it to a .DIF. Export it to Then load up your stronghold mission, hit F11 to get into the mission editor, then F4 to switch to the World Creator and the object should appear in your asset tree (which you'll need to drill down to your item).

Never Mind, It was just not big enough to show the writing because of white space.

Save/reload/export/rinse/repeat and sometimes it would work correctly. The best bet is to grab the 1.0.51 patch from Constructor's TDN page.

Yes, it's just an update patch for a few bugs and usability issues, maybe even a new feature or two. Everything else still works the same.

No, it should show 1.0.51. Double check that when you extracted the contents of the zip that they went to the right place.

In another question, if I want the person to collide with a wall which bubble should be filled in from brush type, right now im testing if it will work with force field.
... force field makes the game freeze before the oject finishes getting put in.

Nearly every file asked do you want to replace, otherwise it asked do you want to mergeIn another question, if I want the person to collide with a wall which bubble should be filled in from brush type, right now im testing if it will work with force field.

Only 9 of the files will extract themselves, ignoring the fact that I've pressed replace for all of them

I think you may be able to get a texture of your wall, place text on it, then save it as something seperate from the wall without text. Then select the face you want to have that text on it and select the texture with text.

A day late: the time at which I tried to finish that was like 2 months ago
A dollar short: trying to install the upgrade to Constructor screwed it up completely
