Is it ok to link out to my new blog?

#1 I'm not sure about it being against the rules, but it may be percieved against etiquette by some. Lots of people link to external blogs, but they at least take the time personalize a message to the GG community rather than just simply posting a link.

I'd say just make a custom message to the community with the highlights of the blog with a link to the full blog and you'll be fine.

Just know that people use this community as a gathering of ideas, concepts, and knowledge and having to leave the site regulary to link out to other blogs tends to break that continuity. I personally rarely follow links out to external blogs unless there's enough of an explaination of what the blog contains.

#2 I would recommend putting up a little information about it (and about you for the three or so people who do not know you!). That way it gives people some content. We are trying to avoid .plans without content other than a link sending them elsewhere.

#4 Why not mirror what you say in your .plan to your web-blog (and vicea-versa)? However I don't really see much point in publishing non-Torque related posts in a .plan though, as that kind of defeats the objective of having a .plan on the GG site.

#5 There is a big reason to post non-GG related news in a .plan. It shares experience with people who are trying to do the samething. There a lot of blogs about people who are pitching there ideas or other business related items that I really benefit from.
