CodeWeaver?

by VcDeveloper · in Site Feedback · 12/05/2008 (5:16 pm) · 3 replies

Whats up with CodeWeaver? I downloaded ther IDE and I like it, but there site seem to be dead since 2007.
I went there to look for plugins. I know I can create them myself with there SDK, but has anyone create any since 2007?

Also, is there a way I can get the source? There are some elementry features missing and I would like to add them in.

Actually I just installed JEdit + TIDE and has lots of plugins. This is a powerful IDE!

Good choice. I just thought I would chime (for later search users) that the CW project has stopped. I believe he is still releasing bug fixes, but not any new versions of CW.

Well, I just abandon the JEdit + TIDE combo, because I can't seem to get TIDE to work right and there is no doc's, and no ones on there forum. I'm running into to many brick walls. That are delaying my first game. Looks like to many abandon projects to interface with Torque.

Looks like the best combo is TX and XNA!

But when are you going to complete TXB? It's messing important features from TGB and buggs.

Import doesn't:
1) Add the images to the Material rollout, at the same time it should set the properties,
2) In the Material Builder the image dissapers when you set the Image Mode to KEY for KEY'd images,
3) In the Material rollout, the ability to scrool through the images is not there, therefor when drag the image on the Scene View and switch the image using the Edit Tab, the image is distorted because the Spirte doesn't adjust to the different image sizes,
4) set the properties to the Particles (nor the Emitter Graph's),
5) have "Effect Emission" and "Intense Particles" options, (I need this!)
6) set the properties to the Tilemaps,
7) recreate the "Animations" or "Scrollers",

Are you going to make a Path Component and what the substitute for the Text Object?

I had my TGB Project setup nicely, but I have to redo everything and this is a pain staking task. Plus with some of the missing features the quality is not there.

You did and excellent job to the over objective of TXB, but the quality is not there like TGB.

The VS 2005 C# is my playground and that's why I shifted over to TXB, but I'm getting frustrating that I can't move to the next level of development, because I'm spending to much time hacking the Product. IDE's are there to eliminate as much as possible any hacking to the Software Product so you can concentrate on the development.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese would you fix and complete TXB as soon as you can! I want to quite my job and create games full time! Your holding me up!
