First aim, then fire?

Hi all
how would one go about setting up "aim first, then fire"?
ie:
nobody goes around running and jumping with a rifle shouldered and aiming,
especialy when there is no threat,
so.. can one set script so that the default movement is relaxed, rifle easy,
then on fire button once, the weapon comes up to aim, second time fire pressed, it fires,
and waits 5 seconds befor returning to the idle stance if no more shots are fired?
any ideas?
thanks

Torsion is for scripting and you should be able to implement this feature via scripting... but its not a Torsion specific issue.

Yes this is quite doable in script, no it's probably not gonna be solved in a forum intended for a development tool (Torsion). You'll be better off posting your question in the forum appropriate for the engine you are using.

I want to implement the exact same thing in my project, deepscratch. I think maybe getting creative with the weapon states and the zoom function so you can only fire when zoomed in might be a start, thats where I was going to start looking when I got around to it.
