Flying vehicle up and down thrust as well as no afterburner?

I thought I would post a new thread since the old one doesn't apply and it would help people who are searching for solutions to find it easier.
Here goes:
I know that upward thrust is possible with a flying vehicle by using the afterburner, however, is it possible to disable it for forward thrust and allow it to only control upward and downward force. In other words I need my vehicle to pan up and down the way it strafes left and right.
Thanks!

I was thinking, is it possible to implement some script to disable thrust when the W key is pressed and then re-enable it when I press keys for upward thrust, if it's even possible to have two keys for one function, oh, and then for downward force it would set the afterburner to a negative value? I don't evn know if the afterburner works in negatives.
Could anyone give me an idea of how to do this if at all possible? I am quite new to script and don't even fully grasp the concept of datablocks yet.
Thanx in advance!

Seems the helicopter resource requires me to have the SDK, and since I have no way of getting my credit card to work online, I wouldn't be able to get this resource to work.I was thinking, is it possible to implement some script to disable thrust when the W key is pressed and then re-enable it when I press keys for upward thrust, if it's even possible to have two keys for one function, oh, and then for downward force it would set the afterburner to a negative value? WASD Moves forward, left, back, right
Z , C moves Down, Up respectively. There is no afterburner.
