Front Line Award Finalists Announced

Every year, Game Developer Magazine holds its annual Front Line Awards to honor excellence and innovation in tools for game development. Five nominees are accepted in the categories of programming, art, audio, middleware, and game engines, and we were thrilled to discover that Torque Game Engine Advanced 1.7.1 made the list for game engines! Why? Because this year, we were so busy developing TGEA 1.8 that we did not nominate ourselves. We were really hoping we could be cross platform by the time the awards went out, and although we are really close to that goal, we missed the deadline. Despite that, someone else in our community loved TGEA enough to nominate us, and we are nothing short of honored. Thank you so much. That is the biggest compliment we could possibly receive from our community.
Torque has been nominated before for a Front Line Award, and this year, we really want to push ourselves hard and come out on top. With that in mind, we're running an experiment to see if we can rally our community behind our engines. So please take a moment, follow this link and vote! Obviously, you have many game engine choices and there are some other good solid engines on the list, but we hope that you are willing to back us up that Torque is the best game engine + community out there today.
Thanks for listening and standing by us. We couldn't have gotten this far without everyone here on the forums. d(^_^)b
