TorqueSchool?

by Andrew Edmonds · in General Discussion · 09/25/2008 (12:17 pm) · 5 replies

Hi all,

Does anyone know the status of TorqueSchool at the moment? There doesn't seem to have been any updates in months. I posted on the forum last week to see if anyone is still around but despite 36 views there have been no replied.

I bought the holiday special back in January entitling me to any one future course but nothing has happened since then!

Anyone else in the same boat?

Dave, can you let us all know what is going on? I was totally hooked on the RPG course but not a lot has happened in the school for ages .....

We've had to reign in our focus quite a bit this year and determine a more salient group of activities. In terms of ROI, the school ends up being expensive to run and the time to develop a course is extraordinary, while the pricepoint which would keep it running is above what most are willing to pay. While many people were excited about the school and its beginnings, it's difficult to ask folks to commit when they need to earn a living and choose wisely what they do with their spare time.

While I still think a Torqueschool is a great idea and many folks put a huge amount of time into the vision, the reality is profit or loss when it comes to keeping something going. We were hoping for a revitalization of sorts this year, but especially in the light of current events, it doesn't look promising.

Andy, if you were hooked on the RPG course you probably will get some more of that type of juice, RPG is my first love, I will continue to release resources etc to that end, and who knows what else...

Hi Dave, you're correct. I was very interested in the school, and thought the RPG course was well thought out and conveyed what was needed. I would have liked to have taken some of the other TGEA classes, but they were above the "wife" factor (that is, what I could spend without my wife killing me).

Hello, but i have the same problem as Eikon Games, i even bought a course from them and try to contact them several time, but no one has answare, so my question is if torque might help users to tell them no to go again to a possible new torqueschool.
