Character does not appear

So I just bought the Platformer Kit and started working through the tutorial. Everything was going fine until I got to the character creation. I followed all the steps and got my Dragon on the scene, but no matter which way I try to spawn he never shows when I actually start the game.

Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks for the replay. I tried the suggestions from both threads with no results. The Dragon template shows up, and the sprite is visible in the level builder, but when I play it... no dragon.

    Hello.. Did you ever get a answer to this issue? I tried the dragontemplate fix and still does not spawn when I play it.. it simply disappears.. Help
