Torque X3D A.I question

I was wondering how hard is the A.I for torque X3D? I know that TX3D is a C# coding and TGEA is C++ but i was wondering is the coding going to be similar to TGEA or is the full TX3D version will it have a built in A.I?

AI is also very game specific. For example, if you made a Tic-Tac-Toe game with an AI opponent, it wouldn't look anything like an AI opponent in a shooter game. What kind of AI are you interested in having? I've written some material on path-following and player-chasing objects that might help.John K.

Speaking of A.I. what ever happened to the A.I. pack. Is that basically dead now?

I'm looking for basic shooter A.I with maybe some animals civilians etc. this would really make me have to buy TX3D if they had a A.I pack.thanks for your time

As for a shooter AI, I dont think that's going to be too demanding. Especially of it's mostly path following and player chasing. The harder part is going to be syncing it up with built-in animations, such as walk/run/aim/etc.

I don't remember who was working on an AI Pack, but I remember reading about that at one point. Again, it's tough to make a generic pack for most games, but there are a few common areas. In my book (coming out Labor Day ;) ) I have a couple chapters on basic AI - like path-following, player chase, etc. As for a shooter AI, I dont think that's going to be too demanding. Especially of it's mostly path following and player chasing. The harder part is going to be syncing it up with built-in animations, such as walk/run/aim/etc.

Awesome! My Amazon pre-order is in!
So, um... does this mean that a certain long awaited something will ship around that time? ;)
