Torque X3D A.I question

#1 No built in AI. You have to write your own in C#.

#2 AI is also very game specific. For example, if you made a Tic-Tac-Toe game with an AI opponent, it wouldn't look anything like an AI opponent in a shooter game. What kind of AI are you interested in having? I've written some material on path-following and player-chasing objects that might help.

#3 Speaking of A.I. what ever happened to the A.I. pack. Is that basically dead now?

#4 I'm looking for basic shooter A.I with maybe some animals civilians etc. this would really make me have to buy TX3D if they had a A.I pack.

#5 I don't remember who was working on an AI Pack, but I remember reading about that at one point. Again, it's tough to make a generic pack for most games, but there are a few common areas. In my book (coming out Labor Day ;) ) I have a couple chapters on basic AI - like path-following, player chase, etc.

As for a shooter AI, I dont think that's going to be too demanding. Especially of it's mostly path following and player chasing. The harder part is going to be syncing it up with built-in animations, such as walk/run/aim/etc.
