Helicoptor Polys

I am currently making a helicoptor model for my game. Is 500 - 600 polys ok? If not what would be a good amount? Thanks.

Yeah, if you can get a good looking helicopter out of 600 polys (tris, I assume), thats awesome. At this point, you could probably go up to 5000 polys with no problem. shoot for 2-3k, but as always, the lower the better.

I created a Hind along with LODs. Here is a screen shot of the LOD0 (highest res) model @5,000 polygons.
