Seems like your work so far proved me wrong.
Disclaimer: I only took a shallow look at the forum thread.
And i am absolutly with Edward, what makes you wanna make a game if you dont even know what game you are gonna make?

When i first saw you announcing "fantascii" i thought it was one of thosse generic "im twelve years old, i want to do an mmorpg, you get to make the code, script and art. I will "manage" the project? Why? cuz i have the sweetest ideas that for some reason noone ever thought about before!!!" Seems like your work so far proved me wrong.

Thanks Ted, as a 30+ male, thats makes me feel a bit better. And projects usually dont come cheap. A project such as mine has already costed in the Tens of Thousands of dollars. So scope and depth mean alot. That cost doesnt include contributions or the value of my own work, as i do 90% of the building work seen in those pictures. With some valient help from contracts.

@Martin - You should take your own advice, "no one likes a know it all". Thus far, you have ignored the advice given to you by many experienced developers. At some point you will need to accept your own ignorance and dedicate yourself to learning from others. My 2c

I am thinking of making this game over the summer guys.
1)Make a game document. Its Dragon meets Rampage meets Tekken/Streetfigher
2)Model your characters. Gotta use a prefab, cheaper and saves alot of work.
3)Model your weapons. Yah we are going to let dragons use Weapons!!!
4)Script your characters attacks. Cant have Dragons without Claws and Breath.
5)Create Unique animations and Attack particles. Now thats a serious special move!!! Planetary SHIFT!! (scene shows dragon dive bombing target)
6)Create Enviromental Arenas/Rings/Fight Club locations. (hmm urban japan? or Generic City)
7)Create a Ladder/Storyline mode for Single Player Fights
8)Setup a multiplayer server
9)setup a Multiplayer Ladder System
10)Test Multiplayer attacks and health/energy Systems
11)Polish Assets and Tweak
12)Release Legend of the Five Dragons.
Now there, how hard was that. Would you like me to also give you a step by step method, to maybe buy the 3drt models and alter them to do your attacks. Then tell you hey, AFX has a attack/special ability system that might work very well with your game. Hmm lets see Dragons, maybe pick a enviromental pack from Tim Aste. Lots of enviromental goodie, including a lot of flame particles. Now since most of the torque game come set up for LAN and multiplayer games the next part sould be easy for testing. But host a multiplayer game for all your testing purposes.
Martin, you want to ignore me. Fine. But in the last 15 minutes, and in a single paragraph have created and gave more information on my Legends of the 5 Dragons Game then your entire list of posts. You wont pay attention to my comments. When im activly giving you good solid advice based on experience, what becuase you think you know better then me? I dont know it all, in fact I am a horrible programmer, but i do seem to be running my own team, and learned to do my own work for about 6 months before folks really started to join my team. But i did my own leg work.
I normally am a pretty calm guy, but you dont want my help. Dont copy my game. And as for finding help make your King of Dragons. Good luck. You going to need a bit of growing up before folks here help you and if you do find some help that will be great. But somehow your going to register to a single word im typing. When your ready to do that, come back and start asking properly. At least you put a comma in this time. Its a improvement.

@Edward, I think you're wasting your time man. Martin is clearly not willing to accept any advice or suggestions, and your knowledge could be better utilized elsewhere. If you look at his previous posts, Martin states that he is only seven years old, which is the second grade I believe. So, of course his punctuation is poor/non-existent; though, there is no excuse for his mannerisms.

@Martin, I would suggest checking out something like FPS Creator or The 3d Game Creator. Check out this site: http://t3dgm.thegamecreators.com/ You can quickly get some fun games going and let your imagination run free. The 3d Game Creator would be especially good for your project. Just remember, have fun, and don't be afraid to go at it on your own. @Edward, I think you're wasting your time man. I'm not some idiot wanting everyone to do the work for me, though that is an awesome scheme indeed ;-). I'm making a video game called Atlantis - 2042. The Idea is to load the engine with EVERYTHING Feasible from these forums, and release a completely scriptable game to the community; for free. I'm wondering if you're interested in some of the work, I already have quite a bit done indeed, I'll be spending about $500 on prefabbed models to speed up the glamor part ;-). Plus I really don't care about looks as much as I do gameplay. Let me know if you're interested.

@Edward, bud do calm down. Martin is likely younger than you by far. Really just give him your experience and leave it be, if he doesn't take it; oh well. In all respect it's your gain, less competition. But Hey I would really like to get with you on an Idea I have and how it would benefit both of us.I'm not some idiot wanting everyone to do the work for me, though that is an awesome scheme indeed ;-). My advice, stop making 100 threads begging folks to do your work for you. Grow up. And pick up some tools and get cracking. You arent going to make a game by sitting around posting. People around here either a) have their own projects or b)want to join projects where the team leader (thats you) can be confidant enough to not just say. do this, do that, becuase its cool. If you think thats what game design is all about. You need to learn some lessons. You mentioned you havent been sitting around, and i dont know what im talking about. Now that you have seen my creditials. Please tell me what i dont know. I have been in your shoes.
And true, making games can be fun. But you need to get yourself in order. I am more then willing to be your mentor, but if your not going to listen to me. Or anyone else. Then your going to find alot of cold shoulders. im not sure how much clearer i can put it. im trying to help you. Honestly. but your making it very hard to do so. Im not even asking for pay. im saying these things becuase you need help. Maybe some of the other folks can put it more delicately then myself. and yes, Im going to be following your progress. You want my advice and guidance, im here. You dont want it, then well, your on your own. hopefully one of other young budding game makers will maybe join you. Never know.
And start using Punctuation. If you do programming you will understand the importance of it. Alot of folks here judge folks on the how the write.
