TGEA 1.7 - Mission Editor on Save As

I'm running windows vista for my sins (wish I'd stuck with XP!) bit late now, but never mind. Whilst this may well be an issue with Vista, I'd thought I would find out if anyone else has experienced this.
If I try to save a new mission file (Save As) and give it a filename it tells me its read only and cannot save, so the way I have got around this is that I've created a mission file already using the default, copied and renamed it and worked off that, then save it in the editor which works fine. So it seems like a permissions problem (I even re-installed TGEA to see if it was a file structure permissions problem that I had set by mistake) - but still did the same.
Checked to see if TGE 1.5 did this, and no it worked fine.

When you type in the mission name in save as, you must manually add .mis at the end of it or it will give you that read-only error...
