Maya View port problem

Hi All,
I am using Maya 2008 for build models and animations for torque.
I have Maya view port problem. When ever I am trying to rotate my view ports, they turned into black and I need to restart Maya every time to continue my work.
My system configuration is:
OS - XP Pro SP2
Processor - AMD 64 bit dual core @ 2.0 GHz ( 5200+ model)
Ram - 4GB Dual channel (666 MHz)
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 XFX.
I think this is a graphics card issue, because the GeForce family doesn't support hardware overlay planes.
But I have a question is Quadro FX 1500 can support latest Torque Game Engine Advanced 1.7.0 with out any graphics limitations?
Because I can't switch my graphics card every time from Geforce to Quadro :)
Any one please helps me.

I am pretty sure the GeForce series support Overlay planes, mine does at least. (GeForce 8800gtx, 2 of them).
