Juggernaut Questions
by Do Not Delete · in Torque Game Engine · 04/07/2008 (4:11 pm) · 12 replies
I just finished reading this .plan http://www.garagegames.com/blogs/83134/14506 and I had a couple of questions.
Here are my questions:
1. Will Juggernaut have an upgrade cost for those who own Torque X and Torque Game Engine?
I also have a suggestion:
For Juggernaut shouldn't GarageGames combine all its products TGE, TGB, TGEA, TGE, and TX into one product. And then for example for the Torque Wii and 360 they'll be addons. This way we don't have to buy multiple engines to develop different types of games.
Just a suggestion that I would like to throw out to GG
Thanks for your time,

Quote:Although this is a crap analogy, think of us as a bakery, selling you cookies. You buy cookies from us (i.e. TGE, TGEA, etc.) but we keep the recipe to ourselves (Juggernaut). Now that is a great analogy. :-D

A merge would be really great though :D

Bleh! just chatting to delay the truth: you, as the typical modern woman, dont have an idea, about how the heck the cookies are prepaired and eventually... cooked.Programmer women... bah!

Mine would be:

Also, I once formed cookie dough to make several lines of code.
They baked fine, but I realized I made a syntax error and had to throw the whole sheet away =(

Me thinks Novack is 1 comment away from being smacked in the face with a cookie sheet. Besides, programming and cooking go hand and hand. Haven't ever heard of the Optimization Cook Book? Also, I once formed cookie dough to make several lines of code.
char* cookie = "Hello Cookie" cout << cokie;
They baked fine, but I realized I made a syntax error and had to throw the whole sheet away =(

@Tyler: The SDK is a recipe for cookies, but those are "game" cookies. You can use TGB, TGE, and TGEA to make games. We use Juggernaut as a recipe to make "engine" cookies. So:
SDK + your effort = your game
Juggernaut + GG effort = GG engines
I told you it was a crap analogy!

Hmm... I think Tyler's code is better. Way to improve the original script!@Tyler: The SDK is a recipe for cookies, but those are "game" cookies. You can use TGB, TGE, and TGEA to make games. We use Juggernaut as a recipe to make "engine" cookies. So:

Thank you for your suggestion on merging our products. We'll keep it in mind as we continue to develop our cookies, er, engines. ^_^
